First Encounter

The main reason I wanted to go on safari was to photograph elephants and I wanted to see the large herds walking together. Pictured here is my first ever experience with elephants in the wild. It was the exact moment I had dreamed of. We were in Tanzania driving through the Serengeti when my guide spotted their fresh scat, and he knew exactly where they were and where they were headed. He drove to a nearby watering hole, and it was only a few minutes before they came walking over the ridge. They headed straight for us and walked right by the truck to get to the water. This was an experience I will never forget, and I still get just as excited every time it happens.

All artwork is offered as a limited edition. Rodney carefully selects each image and chooses a number of prints to make available for each image. This edition size is shared across all prints of an image. For example, if an edition is set at 25 prints there will never be more than 25 prints of that image (regardless of print size) so each individual work will retain its value over time.

As with most fine art, as an edition sells the prices increase. Later images in an edition will be priced higher.
